To qualify for a place at ClanryeIT an Individual must meet the following criteria.

An applicant must:

• Have a defined physical disability (see definition of physical disability below)
• Be aged 16 years or over.
• Be unemployed.
• Be independent in self-care.
• Satisfactorily complete a literacy assessment
• Be medically stable
• Have the cognitive and physical endurance for the programme.
• Have the necessary behavioural controls to cope in group settings (physical or verbal abuse towards ClanryeIT staff or students will result in immediate termination from the programme).
• Be free from alcohol and drug abuse.
• Have the capability to achieve a Level 2 qualification within two year period.
• Be identified, following receipt of necessary documentation as suitable for the programme (i.e. must fulfil above criteria and confirmation must be received from suitably qualified personnel e.g. GP, Social Worker etc.)

The individual must also:
• Attend ClanryeIT a minimum of three ½ days per week or one full and one half day.
• Undertake work experience.
• Join ClanryeIT to achieve qualifications and secure employment.

Please Note:
Programme duration is 2 years from the date of starting. Undertake work placement is a compulsory part of the Programme. ClanryeIT reserves the right to refuse or accept an applicant.
